Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Whip does not collect personal information, device information, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, crash reports, or terminal session content on behalf of Kosumi Chan.

2. Information used for SSH connections

To provide terminal and SSH functionality, the app may process information that you enter, such as server addresses, ports, usernames, authentication credentials, connection settings, commands, and terminal content.

This information is used only on your device and to communicate directly with the remote servers that you choose. It is not transmitted to or stored on servers operated by Kosumi Chan.

3. Local storage and security

Connection profiles and related settings may be stored locally on your device so that the app can provide its requested features. You are responsible for securing your device, credentials, private keys, and remote server accounts.

SSH traffic is encrypted using the security mechanisms negotiated between the app and the remote server.

4. Remote servers and third parties

When you connect to a remote server, that server and its operator may receive connection information and terminal activity. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy, security, retention, and logging practices. Kosumi Chan does not control servers selected by users.

The app does not include advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs that collect user data.

5. Data sharing and sale

We do not collect user data, so we do not sell, rent, or share user data with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.

6. Data retention and deletion

Because Kosumi Chan does not collect or store user data on its servers, there is no developer-held user data to retain or delete. Locally stored app data can be removed through the app, by clearing the app's storage in Android settings, or by uninstalling the app.

Data stored or logged by remote servers must be managed with the relevant server operator.

7. Children's privacy

The app is not designed to collect personal information from children. Since we do not collect user data, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app's features or data practices change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
